INSTALL (Plug-n-Play)
The KeZ adapter is easily plugged into the OBD II port located in all vehicles manufactured after 1996. The special KēZ relays provided are plugged into the fuse box of the vehicle.
An installation manual is provided and no wiring is required into the electrical system of the vehicle.
TOUCH ALERT
Touch Alert is included in the KēZ app and when activated, if the vehicle is touched, the horn will sound (horn relay activated) which should be a deterrent to the would-be thief. The sensitivity level can be adjusted to meet the requirements of the driver.
VIN AUTHENTICATION
Using the KēZ adapter and app along with the relays, the vehicle is made immobile unless the driver has VIN Authentication in his/her smartphone.
An in-app message is sent to the owner along with an SMS message if an illegal attempt is made to drive the vehicle. A security call will be made to the selected security service (or police) if appropriate, alerting that an illegal entry has been made.

VEHICLE IMMOBILIZATION
Using the KēZ adapter and app along with the relays, the vehicle is made immobile unless the driver has VIN Authentication in his/her smartphone.

HOW DOES THE KēZ VEHICLE IMMOBILIZATION WORK ?
The patented ignition relay provided by KēZ is designed in the open position, and cannot be closed, unless a signal is sent to it by the adaptor as a result of receiving VIN Authentication.
SECURITY
The KēZ device and app have been designed to exceptionally high standards of security including 256-bit encryption.
The KēZ app allows the owner of the vehicle to customize the functions within the app.
If there is an attempt to remove the adapter, a pre-programmed in-app notification, SMS messages, and a security call will be immediately sent to the owner, and any selected seucirty service (or police) if appropriate.
Many jurisdictions allow for direct calls or text messages to be sent to the local police department in the event of an emergency such as theft of a vehicle. The pre-recorded text message would alert that a potential vehicle theft was in process with details including the name and address of the owner information on the location of the car, make, color, license plate, VIN number and any other information required by the authorities. An alternative would be to have the pre-recorded SMS sent to 911. Ultimately the control over this message is determined by the vehicle owner.

Vehicle Access Authorization and Sharing the "Car Keys"

Yes, the KēZ anti-theft device requires real-time communication with your vehicle. In order for this to work, a SIM card with a monthly data plan is provided with your purchase.
No, KēZ is a plug-n-play technology and does not require any vehicle wires to be cut.
The KēZ ant-theft device can be “armed” or “disarmed” using the app. Assuming that it is in the armed mode, the initial attempt to enter the car will sound the horn and and an in-app notification will be sent. If the intruder enters the car and attempts to start it, without the VIN Authorization, the car is immobilized and will not start. An immediate SMS text message will be automatically sent to the owner, to the police and to any home security system which the owner may have available. Any attempt to remove the adapter prior to trying to start the car will have a similar security response with a SMS text message sent to the owner, the police and any home security system available, and the vehicle will remain immobile.
There are two subscription modes available with the KēZ smartphone app, Basic which includes vehicle access authorization, anti-theft and tracking; and Premium which includes other features such as Smoke Detection, Battery Level, Telematics and Trip Logs.
The Premium subscription can delivery 100% accurate information on all telematic functions.
No. The KēZ adapter will not “run down” the battery of the driver’s smartphone. All the information obtained from the KēZ adapter and app is stored in its memory and then sent to the KēZ server.
